Summer
The key word for summer is “busy!” Right now, we are a busy church, and I wonder sometimes if too busy. With thoughts on improvements to the fellowship hall, searching for a new youth director, celebrating our 125th anniversary, preparing for Vacation Bible School, summer youth camps, getting ready to start back at the Seminary, and the list could go on, have we forgotten to take time with God. I wish for a day of no schedule and no deadlines just to take time with God. Read His Word, meditate on His Word, and pray to Him. We all need spiritual nourishment, and often busy schedules drain us spiritually. So during this busy summer, don’t forget to take time with God. And remind your pastor to do the same!
