Morning Sermon
Title: Setting the Record Straight
Scripture: Luke 14:1-24

Sometimes, we live in the delusion of our own minds. It is hard to see through our blind spots and the false reality we have created for ourselves. It may be that we are committed to religion instead of Christ, as the Pharisees of Luke 14. They thought they were committed to God but were actually committed to their religious traditions. They cared more about Sabbath laws than serving, honor than humility, and being part of the in-crowd than going after the out-crowd that needed help. Worst of all, they had rejected God’s invitation to be a part of His Kingdom through faith in Jesus Christ. They had lots of excuses, but none were worth missing out on the Kingdom of God.
