Missions

First Baptist Church has a long history of sending and supporting missionaries all over the world. We are a “Mission-Minded Church.” From local college campuses to missionaries in far away countries, the church spends thousands of dollars each year to support missionaries in the work of spreading the Gospel and establishing churches. Currently First Baptist Church supports twenty different missionaries and ministries worldwide. 

The mission committee of First Baptist Church is made up of elected members whose responsibility is to review the mission budget of the church. They look at mission works each month and recommend to the church works that need help or increases to works already supported. 

First Baptist Church also sponsors a summer mission trip for all ages. The group works alongside a missionary in outreach, Vacation Bible School, construction projects, and other activities which gives members hands-on experience in mission work. 

Currently, First Baptist Church is the sending church for Missionary Alejandro Moreno who is working in the Saline County area reaching Hispanic people with the Gospel. The goal is to establish a Spanish-speaking congregation in Saline County. 

First Baptist Church has been a longtime supporter of the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, AR (http://mb-seminary.com/), and several of her pastors has served on faculty of this school.
