At First Baptist Church of Bryant, worship is more than an element of the service; it is a meaningful priority in the life of the church. From teaching young children to read music and play their first instruments to the adult choir presenting the story of Christ’s birth during the Christmas season, the Worship Ministry offers opportunities for people of all ages to serve and grow. The church has several musical ensembles that meet regularly and prepare music for worship services and special events throughout the year.

Colossians 3:16, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir helps lead the congregation in worship during church services. This diverse, multi-generational ensemble sings hymns, worship songs, special music, and seasonal programs throughout the year. The choir is open to church members in sixth grade and older, and no prior musical experience is required. Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings prior to Sunday School in the sanctuary.

Ladies’ and Men’s Ensembles
The Ladies’ and Men’s Ensembles are small vocal groups that rehearse on Wednesday evenings. These ensembles prepare worship and traditional church music for Sunday morning services and special services throughout the year. Prior musical experience is not required, and participants are welcome to join as they serve through song.

Handbell Choirs
Handbell choirs bring musicians together to create a unified musical presentation, with each participant responsible for one or more notes within a piece. As each player contributes their part, the choir works together to produce a seamless and meaningful offering of worship. First Baptist Church offers beginner and intermediate handbell choirs that meet on Sunday afternoons. No prior musical experience is required for the beginner class.

Explorer Music
Explorer Music gives children in grades 1–5 the opportunity to grow musically, learn foundational music skills, and participate in worship through song. This group meets on Wednesday nights and presents music during Sunday morning services and special services throughout the year.
